I am an interdisciplinary researcher whose work sits at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, FinTech innovation, digital financial inclusion, and sustainable economic development. My research is driven by a simple question: how can emerging technologies be deployed in ways that improve lives, strengthen institutions, and create more inclusive opportunities for people and communities?
My academic journey combines a PhD in Business Administration with ongoing postgraduate study in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence at the University of York. Alongside my research, I have built professional experience within the financial services sector, which has provided valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges that accompany digital transformation. This combination of academic and industry experience allows me to approach complex problems from both a theoretical and practical perspective.
My research explores responsible AI, algorithmic accountability, financial innovation, and the socioeconomic implications of digital technologies. I am particularly interested in understanding how AI can be governed responsibly, how digital financial systems can become more inclusive, and how organisations can balance innovation with transparency, trust, and public benefit.
Over the years, I have contributed to peer-reviewed research, funded projects, international conferences, peer-review activities, and academic service. My work has examined topics ranging from AI-driven risk management and financial inclusion to digitalisation, inequality, AI adoption, and sustainable finance.
Looking ahead, my research is increasingly focused on agentic AI, uncertainty in machine learning systems, and the governance of autonomous AI within financial institutions. I am interested in developing evidence-based approaches that support the responsible deployment of AI while strengthening accountability, resilience, and inclusion across digital economies.
Beyond research, I am passionate about knowledge sharing, mentoring, and building bridges between academia, industry, and society. I believe that the most meaningful innovation occurs when rigorous research is translated into practical solutions that address real-world challenges and contribute to long-term societal value.
